Pokemon Geographic

Why this
niche?
I found two channels that started uploading only two to three weeks ago and already have over 1 million views. On top of that, the content is created with AI, which makes the possibilities endless. So if you're interested in Pokémon, this could be your niche.

Voice-over
Even though it’s an AI voice, it still fits the style of the video very well. Personally, I would choose an American accent, since that’s the audience you want to appeal to.

Great footage
If there is one thing this channel is doing well, it’s generating great AI footage with lots of impressive details As we’ve already seen the audience loves in the comments, so make sure that's your main priority when stepping into this niche.
01:02
Great music
I think they first chose the music and then edited the footage to match it, because this part fits incredibly well. Music is extremely important, as it can really bring your story to life just as you can see here.
Don'ts

Could be better
I understand what they’re trying to do here (National Geographic style), but I would make sure that the Pokémon the story is about appears within the first few seconds. Right now you have to wait about five seconds, and those are exactly the seconds where most viewers drop off.
00:00
National Geographic logo
This channel is using a copy of the National Geographic logo and has only changed the word ‘National’ to ‘Pokémon’. I understand that it looks cool, but I wouldn’t take that risk myself. If National Geographic becomes aware of this, there’s a good chance you could face legal action.

Awesome thumbnail ✅
One of the reasons this channel is performing so well is because of their thumbnails. They’re creating outstanding and extremely realistic thumbnails that trigger a lot of emotions in their audience. What they basically do is look at the strongest power of the Pokémon they’re featuring and amplify that in the thumbnail.
In this thumbnail, the Pokémon is Kadabra, and one of its strongest powers is the Hypnosis attack. So as you can see, they have amplified that effect heavily so I would recommend doing the same with your thumbnails.
❌ One thing to mention. I know it looks cool but again they used that spin-off National Geographic logo and I wouldn't take the risk because you can get in serious trouble.

Revenue analysis
For this calculation I assumed that your videos are at least 8 minutes long, because the competitor’s videos are only 3 minutes, which is far too short. So make sure your videos are at least 8 minutes or longer, and if possible, you can make them much longer. This audience can definitely handle it.

How to find topics?
For this niche, things are actually very easy, because you can create your own topics based on the popularity of the Pokémon. I’ve seen two different types of topics perform really well:
1. Individual Pokémon stories
2. A battle between Pokémons, like in this example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVxXeoqrHy4
What should you keep in mind with individual Pokémon stories?
Look for popular Pokémon that you can build an interesting story around. ChatGPT can help you brainstorm ideas, but the comment sections of competing channels are also full of great suggestions.
The downside of this type of content is that you may eventually reach a point where all the most exciting Pokémon have already been used. That’s why I recommend mixing in battle-style videos as well.
What should you keep in mind with Pokémon battle stories?
The big advantage of these topics is that you can create endless videos, because there are endless combinations of Pokémon you can put against each other. It also tends to be easier to build a fun and engaging story around a battle. So again I would recommend to use ChatGPT to help you brainstorm ideas and the comment section of the competition channels.
How to create these videos?
Via https://www.genaipro.vn/, you can get a full day of access to Google VEO 3 and Nano Banana Pro for €1.50. With Nano Banana Pro, you can generate extremely realistic images, and with Google VEO 3 you can then turn those images into video footage.
Nano Banana Pro
I entered the following prompt into Nano Banana Pro:
“Create a picture of Pikachu but then in real life.”
This resulted in the following image:

Google VEO 3:
Next, I set Google VEO 3 to the “ingredient to video” mode, which allows you to upload an image that Google VEO 3 then uses as an ingredient to generate a video. After that, I asked Google VEO 3 to generate a random scene, and this was the result:
In this way, you can generate your own clips, and I would recommend to first create the script. Then, ask an AI (ChatGPT for example) to create a VEO 3 prompt schedule that matches the script, so you can load the prompts one after another and generate clips that align with the script.
What topic would I go for?
I saw several people in the comment section under this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVxXeoqrHy4) wondering what Mr. Mime and Electabuzz would look like, so I think this would be a great topic to go for in a fight format.

How to create your thumbnail?
Normally, I would recommend taking a screenshot from one of the clips generated for your topic and using that as the thumbnail. But since I didn’t create a full video for this example, I had to approach it slightly differently. So I went back to Nano Banana Pro and used the following prompt:
“Create a scary-looking, real-life Mr. Mime from Pokémon fighting a scary-looking Electrabuzz in 16:9 format. No text.”
This resulted in the following image:

Adding some light
The image already looked great, but as you know, it’s important to make your thumbnail really stand out against the black YouTube background that most people use. So I added some extra brightness, and this was the final result.

AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
Nostalgia
Most people who watch these videos grew up with Pokémon, which is something you can clearly see in the best-performing videos as well as in the comments. This is important information to take into account when choosing your topics and deciding what to include in your videos.
Details matter
You can see in the comments that people really appreciate the details that match the reality of the Pokémon series. Make use of that for well-known moves, terms, or other characteristics specific to each Pokémon and use them into your video.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Nothing..
I couldn’t find anything besides the obvious things like clickbait and similar tactics.
