Carl Jung
Why this
niche?
In this niche, I've seen a number of channels where I've seen an obvious pattern about Carl Jung. I have also seen some channels where other topics don't catch on until the name Carl Jung is used. The competition channel is also a good example of this, as their first video about Carl Jung went viral right away. In short, once you know how to tackle this niche and focus entirely on making videos that are about psychotherapist Carl Jung, there will be a large audience waiting for you.

Starting with real footage
The title indicates that the video is about Carl Jung. So what do these viewers want to see? Yes, Carl Jung. For that reason, it's a very smart move to start with real footage of him so that the viewer doesn't feel like he or she is dealing with clickbait. Great start!

Nice voice-over
Whether this is AI or not, I think it's a good voice-over. The tone and timing fit the script well, and it makes you get even better into the story. Good voice-over!

Use his quotes
Because the audience for this niche is largely made up of Carl Jung fans, and I’ve seen in the comments that many of them follow him closely and read his books, I think it’s great to include his quotes. Someone even mentioned their favorite Carl Jung quote, so you can definitely add some value for them to your video by mentioning some of his quotes.
1:15
Real footage
It's good to use real footage, not just at the beginning of the video but throughout. As you can see, the quality doesn't matter as much, what's important is providing value. Take another look at the first few seconds of this video: you can barely hear what Carl is saying, and they even had to add subtitles. This shows that it's not about the video's quality, but the message you're trying to convey.
3:05
Connecting with the viewer
I like that they are trying to really connect with the viewer here. They let the viewer imagine something and give examples of that so you can get even better into the story.
Don'ts

No background music
I think it is a missed opportunity that they don't use background here, because you can give the viewer a certain feeling with sound. Especially with topics like this, you can create a very calm, spiritual-like feeling just like Space niche.

✅ Great thumbnail for in this niche
This isn’t necessarily my usual thumbnail style, but I can definitely understand why it works for this niche. Using Carl Jung’s face on the thumbnail is a must, and I really like the color combination in the center of the thumbnail. However, I notice there are a lot of focus points because of all the numbers and text. I would suggest either removing or reducing these to prevent the thumbnail from looking too chaotic.

Take a look at the difference
This thumbnail is almost identical to Thumbnail 1 but with less color. That’s why I find this one not that triggering, it simply doesn’t stand out as much. Using color in your thumbnail is a must if you ask me, and this example shows how a lack of color can make your thumbnail monotonous and less engaging. However, the strategy and structure of this thumbnail do work well for this niche. Both thumbnails are in the top 3 most popular videos on the competitor’s channel, which says a lot. Because remember: no matter how good your video is, if the thumbnail isn’t engaging enough, people won’t click.

Used thumbnail 3
✅ Maximum of three focus points
This thumbnail reminds me of Thumbnail 1 because of the color combination, and I see that it doesn’t have the same multiple focus points as the other one. Instead, it has three clear focus points: Carl Jung, a couple in the background, and the rainbow effect. It’s a solid thumbnail for this niche, and I totally get why it’s one of the most popular videos on the competitor’s channel.

Revenue analysis
This channel has videos from 8-20 min and also videos 30 min+. The longer videos will probably have a RPM around $8 (and maybe more) and the videos from 8-20 minutes will have a RPM between $3-$5.
Also remember that this channel only posted 2 videos in the last month and still received 902.000 views. So even by posting more you can get way more views.

How do I find topics?
In this niche, it’s really important to focus on Carl Jung's name. The competition also explores other topics, and I’m not saying those don’t work because names like Bruce Lipton and Gregg Braden have definitely gotten views too. But I've noticed a clear pattern across multiple channels: content related to Carl Jung consistently performs well. Every time something about Carl Jung is posted, it seems to hit the mark and attract a lot of attention.
During my research, I noticed that topics about Carl Jung mostly include interviews, clips, quotes, and discussions about his childhood, beliefs, and views on different aspects of life.
The topics chosen by the competition channel are okay, and they work, but I think they could be even better with a different approach. What I mean is: use the same style as with Nikola Tesla niche. You can get a lot of inspiration from there. When I checked those out, I found myself way more interested because they made it seem like there was something new or previously hidden. Here are a few examples:
- Nikola Tesla "LOST" Interview: "Visualization is the SECRET"
- Nikola Tesla Hidden Invention: "You Will Never Be In Pain Again"
- Nikola Tesla: "You Will Vibrate at 528 Hz Frequency"
Notice how words like "Lost" and "HIDDEN" grab your attention? Using this kind of approach for Carl Jung topics could make them way more engaging. I’ll go into more detail about title structures in the 'How to Create Your Titles' section.
Also, I found a very interesting and creative topic that could work in this niche: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=comM6bC4q14
What they did here was take an interview in text format, turn it into an audio recording, and even generate the voices of the people involved. Of course, you don’t have to use an interview for the whole video, you can mix in voice-overs of articles you find online as well. For example:

YouTube:
Important: While I was researching, I noticed that Carl Jung’s videos consistently do well on various channels, and there’s an interesting pattern to it. I know these aren’t English-speaking channels, but the point is that there’s a big audience really interested in Carl Jung and that's the reason why I want to show you these channels anyway, so you can start recognizing the pattern yourself.

Topic:
Because this audience is a big fan of Carl Jung, I found an article where Carl Jung is speaking and mainly reveals his views and beliefs of life. So that way, you can also show some real footage of him from time to time in your video, and give the viewers more value. It is important that you highlight the topics in a positive light because you are dealing with a target audience who are behind Carl's vision. Of course, you can make the topic a little more triggering by adding Nikola Tesla's method and using some more trigger words in your titles, but remember that this target audience primarily wants to watch a fun, educational video that is about Carl Jung. A video that actually makes them admire him even more.I will link the article below.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I searched for a picture of Carl Jung looking thoughtful and found this one. I really like this one because he looks straight into the camera.
Background image
As we have learned from the competition is that the thumbnails with a "rainbow light" are the best. So looked for a background picture where we can implement that "rainbow light". I typed into Google "Carl Jung light" and foudn this picture:
Adding rainbow light
I took the "rainbow light" thumbnail from our competition channel and cut the rainbow light out in Photoshop. Then, added a motion blur over the rainbow light and this is the result:
Combing pictures and making it "pop" more
As you can see, we have added the rainbow light, but the colors don't "pop" that much. So to fix that I cut out those 2 people and added a black to transparent gradient on the background which results in a way more colorful rainbow light. After that, I added Carl Jung on the thumbnail and added some lighting to make him "pop" as well.
At the end, I added the text “JUST REVEALED” because it adds a news element to the thumbnail, which creates more urgency to click. IMPORTANT: This will make the thumbnail clickbait. If you don't like that you can add the text: HIDDEN MESSAGE!
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?

The reason we've named this niche after Carl Jung is because I've clearly noticed a pattern in the competition channel: topics related to Carl Jung perform really well. This audience is a big fan of his work, they read his books, and are drawn to videos about him.
Philosophy
This audience is very spiritual and loves philosophy. They like complicated questions about life where philosophers claim to have the answers, and then of course the answers of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung.
