What I noticed right away when I was watching this video is the background music. A very good thrilling tone that instantly triggers you as a viewer if you ask me. Besides that, the voice-over starts explaining right away that we are going to look at a graph, and before you realize the graph is already shown through some nice animations. Very good start of the video!

This intro hooked me in just 4 seconds. Why? Well, mostly because of this part. By adding phrases and statements like this to your script, you make sure you raise a lot of questions for the viewer. It's almost impossible to click away as a viewer in this niche at this moment, since we know that most of this audience are Trump supporters. So what could trigger them more than saying that Trump is winning, but it's meaningless? Great hook!

Don't suddenly stop your background music
At the beginning of this video, I really liked the background music. So, I definitely wouldn't recommend to suddenly stop the music for the rest of the video. It might have been an editor's mistake or something else, as it's very unusual to add background music for only the first 2 minutes and then none for the remaining 8 minutes.

Boring video editing
Starting from 00:00, we can see that there are some various video edits and images. However, from 2:15 to 8:07, we will be looking at the same image for the whole video... I understand the script refers to the latest polls, so to show the election map when the voice-over is talking is actually very good, but not for 6 minutes long. That way, the video becomes very monotonous, and viewers might lose interest and could click away. If we'd add some other graphics or pictures of Trump and Biden from time to time into the script, then this video will already be much more interesting to watch.

Weird outro
I usually prefer a short outro, but this one feels too abrupt. The ending doesn't seem right, and not recommending another video is definitely a missed opportunity if you ask me. So a quick ending is good, but I'd suggest adding a sentence to your script like this: "Want to see more? Then click on the video you're seeing on your screen now." This keeps the outro short while recommending another video from your channel, so you increase the chances of a click for one of your other videos.

Not bad, but slightly chaotic
This thumbnail is fine, but slightly chaotic and that's because they added 3 more times 'Trump +3 Trump +0.1 Trump +5' to the thumbnail. I think it's important to make a choice between either using a text at the top of your thumbnail, or choosing for the text Trump +3 Trump +0.1 Trump +5. Besides that, the color red is used quite a lot and therefore there is not much contrast in this thumbnail. What I really like about this thumbnail is the text Shocking New Polls! Because that's something that will trigger this audience a lot.

✅ 3 Focus points, but...
This is a good thumbnail and if you compare this one to thumbnail 1, then they understood the rule of using a maximum of 3 focus points well here: Donald Trump, text, and an image of the map. But since there's already a lot of red in the background, then using a red as text background is something I wouldn't choose myself. It makes the text blend in, rather than stand out. So design-wise, I’d recommend making the text background black to improve readability and contrast. So overall, this is a great thumbnail, but changing the text background color to black would make this thumbnail even better. Besides, it's obvious they want to convey a certain message because the map is colored all red, but Trump doesn't look proud or happy, actually. So what I would do when choosing a picture of Trump, is focus more on a picture where Trump looks proud/happy because the map is colored all red. Small details, but this can make the message you want to convey with your thumbnail even stronger.

❌ Not triggering enough
If you make something black and white, you automatically make sure it doesn't stand out as much. Just take a look at this thumbnail, you can see that Biden completely disappears and the map with the blue background with number +6 comes out much more. And I do understand the message of this thumbnail, but I think it is made too difficult by the fact that Biden doesn't stand out enough, and the message of the +6 image could be told trough adding a triggering text even better and more clearly. Since we know that this audience is supporting Trump, then it's smart to have the focus on Biden here and use a picture of him in color. What you could also try is instead of coloring the folder completely red, change it to blue to see how the target audience reacts to that and if it can create FOMO.

How to create your thumbnail?
To start with this thumbnail, I went to the website https://www.270towin.com/ There, I found a filter in the bottom right corner. I clicked on the filter, scrolled down, and selected 'Blank folder'.
Change the color of the map to red
Then I used my mouse to color the entire map red, and chose to leave 2 spots blue, so there is a little bit of contrast.
Change the background in Photohop
Then I continued in photoshop and chose to color the background black to make the red stand out even more. I also added a filter to the layer of the map to make the red just a little brighter. Camera raw filter -> Lights -> Black -34
Add a photo of Donald Trump
Then I started searching on Google for an image of Donald Trump. I wanted to find one where he looked proud, with a slight smile, as if he had achieved something. Although this might seem easy, it can take quite some time. If you choose an image where he only smiles without that glint in his eyes, your thumbnail will have a different effect. This shows how important it is to focus on the right facial expression. You can also choose to create a couple of thumbnails with different facial expressions so that you can ultimately see clearly which photo will has the best effect for your thumbnail.

Since it's clear that the text our competitor uses on their thumbnails works well, I chose to use "SHOCKING" as the first word. To avoid copying them exactly, I added "UPDATES" at the end, and then this will be your final result:

This audience is very obviously on Trump's side because the comments are full of this. They like to express their opinions and encourage people to go out and vote. So unlike the previous niche we shared, this is a completely different audience because these people are actually voting for Trump.
Discuss Biden's future if he leaves
Something I've also seen a lot in the comments is this. Talking about Biden's future if he leaves the office. People love to share what their opinion about this is, and as you can see more than 630 people agree with these comments, so that shows us once again that this audience is definitely not on the side of Biden.
