Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found 2 channels that this type of content consistently pulls in massive views within this niche. One competitor’s channel is now reaching over 6.7 million views per month so that's clear proof that the audience who's waiting for you is huge. What makes this even better is that the competition is still relatively low, which means the opportunity for growth and success is wide open. So even if this isn't your exact niche, there's definitely a lot you can learn from how this competition channel plays the game. Or if you're actually into a niche like this where comedians shut down hecklers, then you're in the perfect place.

This is great!
What they’re doing here is really smart. They grab your attention right away by giving you something valuable up front. It immediately sparks curiosity and hits an emotional chord, which makes it hard to stop watching. The fact that they do all that in just a few seconds makes it even more impressive. That strong intro is definitely a big reason the video has over 3.8 million views.

Smart strategy
What they’re doing here is actually really smart. The video opens with this intense clip about a black woman in the middle of a really emotional/shocking moment. Right away you’re thinking, “Wait… what happened here?” Boom, you’re hooked. But instead of explaining it, they just keep going with the next clips. No context, just continue with another clip. So you keep watching, waiting for them to come back to that first moment. And that’s exactly the point. They build up the tension and let your curiosity do the work. You want to see what that first moment was really about, but they make you wait. So they start this around 43 seconds in and continue all the way to two minutes and 24 seconds. And that’s the trick. They’re not just grabbing your attention. They’re holding it. And by the time that scene wraps up, you’ve already watched a small part of the video.

Nice background music
I really like the background music they used here. It keeps changing, and that actually helps pull the viewer back in every now and then. Background music might seem like a small detail, but it’s actually super important. This video is a great example of how much it can add when you get it right.

Great transition
'Sammy tried his best to stay polite with his Heckler, but Jimmy Carr didn't bother holding back when he roasted not one... but FOUR hecklers in a single routine in his 2020 show...'
This transition works really well because it wraps up the first moment and immediately builds interest for what’s next. The voice-over doesn’t just move us along, it adds contrast by pointing out how Jimmy Carr’s approach is totally different from Sammy’s. So they give you a reason to continue watching.

Great hook
'But that wouldn't be the last of Jimmy's hecklers...'
This is a perfect hook to keep viewers engaged. It hints that there’s more chaos coming, without giving anything away. Here are more hooks you can use for in this niche:
Don'ts
Couldn't find anything
The fact that this video got over 4 million views makes total sense to me because the script is great. This is a competitor channel I’d definitely take notes from and if you work with a team, show them so they can understand the structure of the video.

Great thumbnail, but...
Don't get me wrong, this is a really good thumbnail with over 4 million clicks. The format they use works well: Comedians vs Heckler with clear hand gestures and confused facial expressions. It raises a lot of questions. Why is he saying that? What happened before this moment? The result: a click. However, the only issue is that the woman’s facial expression doesn’t stand out enough, and the color contrast of the thumbnail is quite dark. I’d suggest adjusting this by making it brighter and whitenso the image becomes clearer. Still, a great thumbnail overall.

How to find topics?
There are two ways you can approach finding topics for this niche. One is the way our competitor's channel does it (celebrities roasting each other), and the other is focusing on comedians shutting down hecklers, like this channel does: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm5VkteKgWWR6byDGavtxOA
But the great thing is that the channel mentioned above targets the same audience as the competitor's channel, which mainly focuses on comedians vs. hecklers. If you take a look at Matthew Wellington’s channel, you'll see that they’ve also posted videos like this, and those have performed well too. So In short, you can create two types of videos within this niche.
YouTube: There are also several channels on YouTube where you can find a lot of topic inspiration.

Topic:
To find my own topic in this niche, I started by closely analyzing the competition's channels and the patterns I noticed there. But what also stood out to me was the name Bill Burr, which appeared in multiple titles and consistently attracted a huge number of views. This means there is clearly something about this man that really interests this audience, and that’s exactly why I chose this topic.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I looked for a photo where he looked really angry, and I thought it was important to include a hand gesture in the image as well, because it makes the emotion instantly clear within a split second.

Photoshop
To make the thumbnail stand out more, I used exposure, whitening, and textures in Photoshop. I also selected the t-shirts of both people and added a color overlay to make the colors pop more.

AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
Comedians vs Hecklers
This audience loves to watch videos about comedians vs hecklers. They love seeing the clever comebacks comedians come up with and enjoy the intense back-and-forth exchanges. The more extreme it gets, the better.
Bill Burr
On the competitor’s channel you’re about to see, there’s one name that keeps popping up in the comments, titles, and topics and that’s Bill Burr. His name consistently performs well, so if you're planning to enter this niche, make sure to remember it.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Too long-winded
This audience doesn’t like it when the voice-over drags the story out for too long, so be careful with that otherwise, you'll end up getting comments like that.
