Do's

You get what you click for right away
The script goes straight into what the title and thumbnail promise, which is exactly how it should be. Most people decide in the first five seconds whether they stay or leave, so if you don’t hook them, getting views will be tough.

Conspiracy tone of voice
We could already see in the comments that this audience gets triggered by the conspiracy-type angles in this video, and by opening with that right away, you’re instantly speaking their language.
00:02
Music
Don’t get me wrong, the music could be better, but overall it does the job. It creates this kind of tense, suspenseful vibe, which actually fits really well with the opening part of the script.
00:13
Footage matches voice-over
These old photos fit really well with what the script is talking about. It sounds simple, but I actually see this done wrong more often than right, so it’s still worth calling out.
Don'ts
00:13
Footage doesn't match everywhere
In the do’s I mentioned that the footage should match what the voice-over is saying, but that doesn’t go right everywhere. For example, here you first see a bunch of old images, and then suddenly there’s this very modern shot in between that doesn’t really fit with the rest.

Used thumbnail 1
This thumbnail got 545K
The good news is that this thumbnail generated this many views and there are still many things you can improve.
Arrow ✅
Using a red arrow is smart because it immediately pulls attention to the thumbnail.
Bold white readable text ✅
If you use white text, you need strong background shadow, and they actually did that well here.
Focused image ✅
The image is zoomed in and clearly focused on the object, which is exactly what you want.
Now what I don't like:
To many focus points ❌
If this thumbnail only had one piece of text, it would already be much better. But right now you’ve got text at the top and bottom, a red arrow, a hand, and an object you’re supposed to look at. It’s just too much.Viewers decide in a split second whether they’re clicking or not, and if there’s too much going on, they’ll skip.
Title and thumbnails don't work together ❌
The title is: ‘One Copper Wire Triples Your Harvest — Why Is This Science “Forbidden”?’
You’re repeating the same ideas in different ways.
- The title says ‘science forbidden’ and the thumbnail says ‘why it’s banned’. That’s basically the same thing, so it’s an unnecessary focus point.
- The title also says ‘Triples Your Harvest’ and the thumbnail repeats that again. That’s another wasted focus point.
You need to make choices, otherwise your title and thumbnail just becomes messy for no reason. In the ‘Let’s Create Your Video’ section, I’ll go deeper into how to handle this properly.

How to find good topics?
When looking for topics, there are two main things to keep in mind:
- It has to be about farming methods
- It should have a bit of a conspiracy twist, involving governments or big corporations that would benefit if farming was done differently
Here’s how I’d approach it:
Method 1
Use a simple prompt to find farming methods that were used in the past but are now banned or restricted by governments or big companies because they’re “dangerous.” From there, you can dig deeper and do more research.
Method 2
Take a screenshot of a competitor’s channel and ask your AI to come up with more topic ideas based on their best-performing videos. Then you build from there.
Method 3
Sort the competitor’s videos by “most popular” and look for patterns. From this screenshot, two things really stand out:
- Videos about metals combined with farming do really well
- Videos about farming that basically runs itself (self-watering, no fertilizer needed, etc.) also perform great
Use one of these methods or mix them together to find the strongest topics.
So what topic should I go with?
On both competitor channels, I see videos about a plant that produces its own fertilizer and is banned by an organization, so that’s the angle I’d go for.

How to create your thumbnail
I took a competitor’s thumbnail and asked ChatGPT to remove all the text, arrows, and clutter, and asked it to replace it with a plant that Americans commonly use for farming. This is what I got back:

Changing the color of the water
The result already looked good right away. The only thing I’d still change is the color of the water, so the thumbnail pops even more and makes the viewer think: “Wait… what is that?”

Lighting
After that, I added extra lighting to make the thumbnail stand out more compared to the other thumbnails on YouTube, especially on the homepage where people are choosing what to click.

Adding text + arrow
Then I added some text and an arrow, added a lot of background shadow, and made part of the text red to signal “danger.” And this is the final result.

Conspiracy-minded audience
This audience is primarily focused on theories about governments, major corporations, and similar entities seeking to control them in farming. This is valuable information, because you can use this to trigger your audience.

This is again really valuable information as it allows you to encourage your audience to share their tips and tricks in the comments to increasing engagement on your video.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Nothing that's interresting enough to mention
Aside from the obvious points such as clickbait and other common issues, there wasn’t really anything they were complaining about content-wise
