Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found a channel that started only one month ago and already achieved more than 4.2M views. This shows just how big the potential in this niche really is because one single video reached over 1.7 million views. The best part is that the audience is older, which means they stay watching longer and are easier to trigger emotionally if you do it the right way. In this analysis, I’ll show you exactly how to do that.

Starting with real footage
Opening with actual footage of Linda Ronstadt works really well. People clicked because of her name and wanted to hear what she had to say about those seven names she supposedly hated, so showing her right away keeps viewers interested from the start.
00:05
Great begin
'Picture this...'
I really like how they open the intro with 'picture this' because it gets the viewer to imagine a scene right away, which makes the story feel more personal and engaging. It’s a classic storytelling trick that works because it creates a visual in your mind and makes you curious about what’s coming next. You're not just watching, you're already in it.
Don'ts
00:06
No background music
Another niche with no background music, and that’s definitely a missed oppurtunity. The right music adds a lot. It helps set the mood and makes the story hit harder because without it the whole story can feel a bit flat. So if you’re getting into this niche, definitely don’t skip it.
1:09
This takes a little too long now
The script isn’t bad, but by 1:07 they’re still talking about how Linda is going to reveal something and at that point, it starts to drag. You can feel they’re holding it off a little too much instead of just getting to the point. You even see people in the comments already listing the names and saying “you’re welcome,” like they’re saving others from sitting through the whole thing. That’s obviously not what you want. Keep the viewer hooked by building some tension, sure — but don’t stretch it so far that people lose interest. That’s what’s happening here.
3:52
Bad transition
They don’t give you any reason to keep watching, they just jump to the next story out of nowhere. It feels kind of random. That’s a missed chance, because even one simple line could’ve kept people interested. Something like:
• But what happens next is even crazier...
• If you thought that was it, think again...
Just give the viewer something to stay for.

Great thumbnail, but..
I see a really good thumbnail format here. It’s one you can definitely reuse. Put the famous person on the left and a strong, triggering text on the right. Overall, it’s a great thumbnail. The only thing I’d personally change is the all-red text. It makes it a bit harder to read. Instead of coloring everything red, I’d just highlight the main trigger word. That way it still stands out but stays clear.

Triggering thumbnail, but...
This is also another really good thumbnail format. It shows that you can use different styles in this niche, and you don’t have to stick to just one. This one feels like a typical news thumbnail, the kind you’ve probably seen before in the Trump niche for example. And we know this style works. But be careful with going too heavy on the clickbait. It might get you views at first, but in the long run it could cost you viewers, or even your channel. Try to push it just enough to grab attention, but not so far that it feels fake. If you ask me, this one crosses the line a little.

How to find topics?
To find strong topics in this niche, I started by analyzing our competition so I could give you the best advice. But before diving into specific ideas, it’s important to look at patterns and in this niche, there are definitely some clear ones that really matter.
Take a look at the four most popular videos:
- At 78, Linda Ronstadt Names The Seven Musicians She Hated
- Elvis Presley’s Attic Was Opened After 48 Years – And Who’s Inside Is Shocking
- Dolly Parton Finally Names The Six Singers She HATED The Most
- Elvis' Granddaughter Riley Keough Speaks Out About Upstairs Graceland
You’ll notice a few things right away. First, the “She/He Hated the Most” format shows up twice, and it clearly works. These videos spark a lot of curiosity, questions and creates FOMO which is perfect for getting clicks.
Second, videos where someone speaks out about a nostalgic or iconic figure also perform really well. And interestingly, Elvis Presley shows up in two out of the four top performing titles. That tells you something.
So, there are two clear patterns here:
- Focus on well-known nostalgic celebrities who openly say who they disliked or had conflict with. [She/He Hates The Most]
- Create topics specifically around Elvis Presley
On top of that, I always check the comments under popular videos in this space. Viewers often suggest other names, or drop little story hooks that are perfect for building new videos around.

ChatGPT/Google: You can also use ChatGPT and Google for topic inspiration. Just ask for video ideas based on the competition channel, and it’ll give you a wide range of options to work with. Then, you can take those names and Google them to see if any interesting stories pop up. So with ChatGPT you can get the topic inspiration and Google helps you dig deeper. And off course, if you know how to work with ChatGPT, you can also write your own scripts with it.

Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I started by searching some of the names from the list I got from ChatGPT and ended up with Tina Turner. I then checked on YouTube to see if this topic had gained any views recently, and I noticed that another channel had posted a video on it not long ago and it got a pretty high number of views. I also looked at what could be improved, and I saw a lot of opportunities in the thumbnail.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I started looking for a photo of Tina Turner where she looks a bit 'disgusted' becasue that’s exactly what the competitor channel focuses on in their most popular videos. And if that facial expression works for them, we’re going to use it too. I couldn’t find what I wanted on Google, so I went to YouTube and searched for an interview. I played the video in slow motion and paused it at the right moment to capture the frame below.

Photoshop
ThenI used this site https://www.cutout.pro/photo-enhancer-sharpener-upscaler/upload to sharpen the image and in Photoshop I also added Whiten, Exposure, Texture, Sharpen and this is what came out:

Eventually I added the text 'he was a monster' because this will raise a lot of questions. Also in combination with the title, the effect will be even stronger. So if you followed all the steps, your thumbnail will look like this:

AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
Hated Topics
I get that you probably have a lot of questions about what I mean by this, but once you start seeing the pattern in the topics used by the competitor channel, it’ll start to make sense. This audience really enjoys watching videos about familiar public figures where it’s explained why they disliked or even hated someone. There’s something about that mix of honesty, drama, and nostalgia that keeps them watching.I’ll go deeper into how to use this in your own videos later in the “How to Create Your Video” section.
Elvis Presley
People like Elvis Presley in this niche because he brings back memories. A lot of the audience grew up with his music, saw him on TV, or remember the time when he was a huge star. He’s not just a singer to them, but he reminds them of their younger years.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Drawn-out stories
The target audience in this niche usually doesn’t enjoy stories that drag on too long. Don't get me wrong because sometimes it's a good thing to do, but be careful you don't do it too much otherwise your comments will look like this. (Exposing all the names from the video)
